The first couple of times in campaigns going from a AM to a CM was a bit of a learning curve, including a number of nuances that make the change a lot smoother, again, it's a learned experience that comes in handy for future campaigns. Took about 6 turns to complete the change in government process, sometimes it takes longer depending on the circumstances and avoidable actions. Current campaign (vh/vh) my faction is Prussia, kept as an AM (with some fairly decent ministers) till about 1720 where expansion was starting to have it's difficulties maintaining, needed a change, a change in government that would be less cumbersome without all the negatives associated with being a AM, answer: CM. it's a whole lot easier being a CM (just ask GB). To me, if you want to keep your campaign limited (let's say one theater) then an AM would suffice, but if your/(my) desire is world domination, ect. You don't even really know what you are talking about. I hardly think I was whining, punk, why don't you go smoke another bowl, and stop being such a smart ass. I had no idea what people were talking about when they talked about changing the government type.m m Now I do. If you are playing as Russia in a Historical simulation, for example, then you assume the role of the ruler. What I was talking about was the way the game is designed to be played. You obviously have no clue what I was really trying to say, in real life you are correct, government change comes through rebellion. It’s ridiculous to incite rebellion to change government in your land? Are you unaware of how governments have historically been changed? Russian, America, French, British, etc? You are correct, it doesn’t make sense for the leader to want to change government when they are in power but 1) in real life change comes from rebellion and this is the best the game can do 2) leaders in real life aren’t keen on changing government.this is the best the game can do. Of course it is a game, but it's supposed to be a historical simulation. It seems ridiculous to me to incite a rebellion in your own country if you are the ruler. At the very least it is very gamey. If it was then there would be an option to do so. Is this true? If so, it seems pretty lame to me, like the game was not designed to have players changing their government. From what little I have read, I would assume you have to incite a rebellion in your capitol province.
